Still Hold-up, Sort of
May 30
We are still watching our step, holding our breath when we meet someone, and washing the dickens out of our hands every time we turn around. Other than that, everything is normal. Maybe normal. I forget what normal is.
George has been a busy boy. We’ve got flowers along the perimeter of our fence, in big old ceramic pots from Mexico, along all of the border-line of our yard, and hanging from every hook on the fence. George has rigged up a water line that leads to all of the plants. Every morning water is automatically turned on and everything gets watered. We even have a solar powered fountain floating around in our bird bath. A colorful little hummingbird visits the fountain occasionally and enjoys a shower. he stretches his wings and flutters them beneath the soft droplets of water. George is hoping to one day get a photo of the little guy.
I’m posting a photo of a couple of deer. They love our neighbor’s yard and snack to their heart’s content on the leaves and flowers. Sadly for them, they can’t get into our back yard.
The weather is pretty nice. We get some cool cloudy days, but have enjoyed several perfect days here at Ocean Shores. People are starting to come for the weekends. No one around here seems to be bothered by the virus. A few wear masks at the IGA store, and a few at Walmart. We wash our hands and stay our distance, but we feel pretty safe. George had to wear a mask to his doctor appointment yesterday.
Life is good here in Western Washington. I hope all of you are well and enjoying the spring.
