Oh, What is that?
Ya, I know, that’s what everyone says when the sun finally shines, for but a moment, out of a month’s worth of clouds and rain. Ocean Shores is floating. Even with a bit of sunshine this afternoon, the puddles aren’t draining away. We watch and hope, with tongue in cheek, that the Pacific Ocean doesn’t start creeping up to our doorstep.
Today, Yellow Foot begged and begged to go outside. I opened the door for her, she saw it was raining quite hard and turned back. We drove to Aberdeen for groceries and were pleased when the sun was shining, when we got home. I took Yellow Foot out and she romped around smelling the soon to be roses, watched a few birds flitting around on the other side of the fence, and played with a water-logged tennis ball. I had to catch her and carry her back inside. It was getting windy and cold.
Our winter is passing though. Soon March will be here and by then flowers will be thinking about blooming. George has promised to plant some rhubarb and we’re hoping to coax some vegetables and flowers into making a showing. I’ll let you know.
Have a great weekend. Rain is good, right?
