Hello on this Almost Spring Afternoon
Hello everyone, I do hope that you all are healthy and content today. Our world certainly has taken a turn, hasn’t it? This predicament that we are finding ourselves in is troubling. I’m not going to lecture on what we should and should not do. If you listen to the news, you have learned the proper way to attempt to stay healthy. We have gone through epidemics and pandemics before and have survived. And each time, we do learn more on the science of what is happening and how to prepare for future outbreaks.
My dad used to talk about the 1918 Spanish Flu and how terrible it was. We learned from that. He was 11 years old at that time. We can go even further back in history and understand how and what we learned from the injuries of the Civil War. Why infection became so widespread and how to fight it.
The sun is shining here in Ocean Shores, WA today. George is outside planting flowers. He planted some strawberries a few days ago and promises we will have fresh strawberries this fall. Our cat Yellow Foot was out with him and has jumped the fence and is gone. If she doesn’t return by evening, I will be worried, as there are coyotes in the woods close by.
I just wanted to send a hello to you out there. God bless you and keep you well. If you do come down with this flu, I pray that recovery is swift.
