Hello
My blog is up and running. I hope to post a few lines often, depending on what we may be doing here in Southern Texas. Falcon Lake is full of bass and crappie. When the weather permits, George goes fishing every day. I go with occasionally.
I ‘ve been busy all day. I am so pleased that so many of you are interested in my book. This is how I spend time, while George is gone fishing. It was fun to write. I was so thankful for the internet to help with all the research that I had to do. But now, it’s published and available for all to read. You’ve seen the cover and read the prologue, which gives the reader an idea of what the story is about. If you read it, I hope you enjoy it.
George and I are way down on Falcon Lake, in Texas. About 60 years ago, a dam was built just North of Zapata, on the Rio Grande River. Falcon Lake became the fishing hot spot of the country. George has loved it here because of the fishing. His biggest fish was a 10 lbs 2 oz. Large Mouth Bass. Right now, it is just way too hot to go out on the lake. August is the hottest month, with highs around 105 -108 degrees. We usually sit outside in the evenings and enjoy the balmy weather; there is always a brisk wind blowing in from the lake. We do use our A/C all of the time during the summer months. We like the area and there is a lot of cool scenery and back roads to explore. Well, good night and maybe I’ll check in with you tomorrow.
