2020, Wow! How did that Happen?
Hello and Happy New Year to all.
Did you know that most people cannot begin a conversation without mentioning the weather? Well, to get it over with, we have had record amounts of rain here in Ocean Shores, actually all over the Pacific Northwest. Yesterday, we even heard a loud crack of thunder. I love storms with cracks of thunder and rolling clouds. We didn’t see any rolling clouds, the sky was just gray. But that thunder, I jumped up from my computer and opened the door so I could hear more. But alas, it was only that one big boom. I told Yellow Foot that it was the clouds bumping into each other so no reason to be scared. She ran for her cubby hole on the top shelf of our closet, not believing a word of it.
We get bored when it’s raining so much. We’ve been driving out to the casino on Wednesday evenings for their prime rib for seniors $9.99. It’s a really good meal. Lots of fruit and vegetables and several choices of meat. And to top it off, a few delicious desserts to sample. We also drive out to watch the waves come bursting onto shore. Some days it is quite a spectacle.
We are looking forward to spring and sunny days. George has big plans for our back yard: flowers and vegetables. He has drawn up the plan and is collecting what all is needed to grow a successful garden. We’ll take photos and post them.
Let’s see, I will try to find a picture to post with my blog. Just wanted to say hello. I do hope everyone is coping with whatever weather you are having. A year ago we were cool and wet in Texas. This year, we are cool and wet in Washington State. Our really old digs, Stoddard, WI is really cold and up to your waste in snow. I like snow storms too. We’ve had several days of snow here by the ocean. Have a nice weekend.
